The family that cooks together

One of my projects over the last year was to create a family cookbook of old recipes from my mother and her three sisters, along with family photos. It was a labor of love that caused me to both laugh and cry over the many months I worked on it. Now it's finished and in the hands of my cousins and their children. Our daughter Jennifer has pledged to make every recipe in the book, an undertaking I don't envy, and she's blogging about it at If you ever hankered for Aunt Billie's Artichoke Bake or anything made with Jello, check it out. If nothing else, it's a lesson in how our tastes have changed.
